- The Polish-born Horszowski was famous as a child piano prodigy
- and played the Bach Inventions from memory at age five. Ninety-five
- years later, he was still giving superb perform ances. During
- his career Horszowski was perhaps the least celebrated great
- pianist living; nevertheless, his cultish following was ardent.
